Advice Which is more important in SEA, being unique and exotic or being goodlooking?

I’m thinking of letting my hair grow out somewhat, a bit like a hockey player style. I pretty much never saw anyone rocking that while traveling SEA. It would make me stand out extremely well among the sea of short black hair, especially since my hair is wavy and not dark.

However, it does look worse on me than a generic short fade. A fade also makes anyone look like an extremely generic tiktok white guy which is not that big of a novelty anywhere nowadays.
