I just discovered looksmax.org today and it's such a treasure trove of information. @Exutoire mentioned "BOTB" and I wondered what that was so I did some research and found out it refers to a "Best of the Best" board on looksmax.org. Amazing threads there. I actually love that it's a huge forum and I wish geomax.me were of a similar size.
The biggest issue is that the theme of the site is looksmaxxing which is an ideology that's gone way too far. It seems like every manosphere faction ends up this way. Back in the day we had grounded PUA content which was fantastic and life changing. But then PUA evolved into "red pill" bullshit where guys began to hyperfixate on "PUA mysticism" like reciting mantras, reading philosophy books all day, complaining about feminism, etc. instead of just GOING OUT and talking to women.
The same has happened to looksmaxxing. It's so sad. Guys who are clearly 5/10 or 6/10 are rotting on that forum with 10,000+ posts asking if they "need their maxilla recessed", or if they "need their occipital lobe tilted by five degrees" or some other nonsense. It genuinely makes me so sad to see decent looking guys throwing their lives away hyperfixating on looks when the key to their success lies in a more grounded approach of soft looksmaxxing + PUA.
Another issue is that looksmax.org is seemingly entirely focused on Western countries. In the BOTB thread about skincare, the OP unironically claimed that tan skin was more attractive than pale skin. There is a thread showing people how to get square "block" jaws and wider mouths. Basically a ton of nonsense that would turn people celibate if they lived in Asia. I'm glad we've got a space where we can focus on geomaxxing.

With the major caveat that 99.9 percent of posting is nonsense and even the BOTB section can be suifuel if you're neurotic, or have body dysmorphia.

Yeah even I felt a little uncomfortable reading it and I'm quite happy with how I look. It is not healthy to compare yourself to perfect people all the time. It is much more productive to compare yourself to people who are slightly better than you because it gives you achievable motivation.
Similar concept with "grindset" idiots who simp over multi-millionaires and billionaires all day. You're almost certainly never going to be a billionaire, so don't even pay them any mind. Instead look at the guy who makes $30,000 more than you do per year... be like him
Looksmaxxers would be happier if they focused on their archetype and guys who look similar to them

On the one hand there’s a lot of interesting things on looksmax that have helped me a lot understand how to better my appearance and it allowed me to understand past experiences.
On the other hand, it’s really how I discovered the blackpill and it did have an impact on my mental health. Because of it I was rotting at home for 3 months when I should have been studying for my exams jfl.
To be honest I think that after you swallow the blackpill it’s never the same again. Since that I’m an avid Rehab Room viewer every week and I think I will never come back to the enchantment I had about life before.

I like Rehab Room. My general opinion about BP is that it's rather spot-on for sub-5s and especially sub-4s on the decile scale. However for people 5 and above the conclusions start to get seriously warped. The Chad/Chadlite worship is ridiculous and leads MTNs and even HTNs to believe that they're !nce!s.
Overgeneralizing but my school of thought is basically black pill for sub-4s, red pill for those over 6, and some kind of maroon pill for people between 4-6 (PUA with huge emphasis on looksmaxxing)

This is my growing realization. I was rated around 5psl but spent over over 2 and a half decades not asking anyone out on a date.
I never even gave girls a chance to give myself a chance (because I never put myself out there by proactively or reactively hanging out with people).
That is why I decided to join this forum; so I could start travelling and socially interacting with people.
Tbqh I think ca ollagen maxxed block jawed Westerner with clean shaven, tanned glass skin still mogs an average collagen weak jaw Westerner in Asia with ghostly pale skin. However, maybe I'm wrong.
I just find it so hard to think that the former description (traditional Western mogger) gets mogged by the latter (an average craniofacial development pale ghost), even in Asia.

You're conflating things that are absolutely bad (recessed jaw, poor collagen, poor craniofacial development) with things that are cultural (shape of jaw, skin tone, mouth size and shape).
Benedict Cumberbatch vs. Henry Cavill is a decently good comparison. They are both good looking guys with strong jawlines. Difference is that Cumberbatch has the narrow/pointy phenotype which is favored in East Asia, while Cavill has the square/block phenotype which is favored in North America.
You genuinely think most Asians think Cumberbatch is more attractive? Wtf. Cavill skull (symmetry and harmony) is vastly supperior to Cumberbatch.

Yeah I don't know if you guys are ready or willing to believe it but Cavill phenotypes (block jaw/ブロック状の顎) get mogged in Japan. People undergo jaw surgeries to shave down their mandibles for slimmer faces.
The point isn't that people with block jaws are ugly, they're not. It's just that they just experience a noticeable SMV drop from the West where the phenotype is considered highly desirable.
Black guys play by a different set of rules btw, they seem to do well with strong and wide features.
