My vision has progressively gotten worse and worse over the years and it only seems to be accelerating in the last year or two. I've worn glasses since I was 12 years old.
I'm 20 right now, I'll be 21 this coming July. I've heard this is a good age to get corrective vision surgery.
I don't mind wearing glasses too much but the idea of it getting any worse than this is scary, especially cos I plan to live quite a long time.

My mom got the surgery but she was 50 and it didn't stick and had to go back to wearing glasses a few years later. She said it was a bit scary (the surgery).

Is it worth it guys? Have any of you got it done? Any doctors you recommend in the Mid-Atlantic / Northeast region? I live in the Baltimore area but I'm willing to travel to other states in the region. Like PA,NJ,NY,DE,MA,VA,DC.

I got ICL around two years ago, and I’d say it’s definitely worth it. You should wait for your eyesight to be stable for at least one year, preferably two beforehand.

Research the different methods (PRK, ReLEx, ICL) to decide what you should get.

Any complications?

Do you mean the vision itself or prescriptions?

I'm really worried about the flap coming undone but I don't think I'll be in any situations where it could happen.
