Vent Am I the only one who notices the massive difference in the social culture/landscape between US and overseas?

For example in LATAM I’ve noticed that the women here or even Latina immigrants in the US are way more socially open and friendly. Even if they’re MTB/HTB they’re super down to earth

But American Latinas on the other hand tend to be very cliquey and closed off unless you have mutual friends, lots of social proof or are HTN+. Even if they’re looksmatched or you mog them slightly.

So a lot of issue with American issue is deeper than just “Oh they’re chad only” or “Women in LATAM/SEA just want a greencard”. It’s that they’re social/dating culture isn’t completely broken.

so not only is the bar for acceptance looks/money going up in anglophone countries but also the bar for acceptable status/social proof is going up. In group bias and cliqueyness is only getting worse in US due to MeToo + Social media + Lower trust society + man hating culture

Of course. You are a product of your environment after all. An asian MTB who just came from Vietnam or Phils is gonna be much nicer and receptive than an Asian MTB who grew up in the Bay Area and had every Asian and white nerd who gassed her up growing up.

Recently arrived latinas from LATAM or Asians from Asia are easier because they are not used to the same standards, your SMV is a lot higher than what they are used to. Give that latina a few years in the US and she will be as hard as locals.
You think that latina or asian would be as open and friendly with a short brown mexican guy that works at a retail store, or a filipino guy that makes 300$ per month?

locals in LATAM or Asia have as much trouble dating as you do in the US

of course a peruan girl in peru won't demand 6 figures, 6'0, 6 inches because it doesnt exist
but her standards are as hard to reach for locals in Peru, as the standards US women demand in the US

and both are rapidly increasing, specially among educated women

if you think their culture is not broken, talk to any local and see what they say
some countries are a bit easier, sure, but many are also harder from a local POV

Brutal. We complain ab not getting Chad treatment from HTBs. Avg Filipino or Peruvian on the other hand don’t have any opportunities for arbitrage and no way out
