You pay €2 a night for a dorm in Chiang Mai with everything included

Why you guys just don't make some income it's one of cheapest places in world and get a nice room at least?
It's really boring to stay put in one place for weeks on end. I'd rather stay on the move and pay nightly rates, it keeps life interesting and maximizes the chances of something happening.
>but if I stay in SamSarn village for a month, then I'll build friendships and feel like I belong
Wishful thinking. If anything, it's the opposite. Your novelty as a foreigner is strongest when you first show up, and wears off with every day you linger. This is particularly true in smaller places that don't see many foreigners.

That's what I did unless I want to settle down and build something

If I didn’t care about pulling women I would probably just semi neet in a place like this for years on end
