Can someone explain why it’s an awful idea to live in a nice house/duplex/townhouse in Chiang Mai Thailand in the elite visa for the next 5 years. Why’s no one doing this?

There is the burning season every year and dating market is not that good there because too many foreigners vs local girls (most leave to study and work in Bangkok)

Most guys on this forum are too young to afford an Elite Visa - even the 5 year option.

Some of the nicest girls I've met have been from Chiang Mai. Feminine and softly spoken. Outside of the Old City especially with all the hyper aggressive tourists.

It's a good idea for those with the a remote job or online biz.

I've been to Chiang Mai, lived there for a few years.

It was pretty great around 2015-2019.

I haven't been there since covid, so I have no idea if it's still as good as it used to be.

But I went to Bangkok post-covid and it was really bad compared to pre-covid. Like, I was only fucking 2 girls per week whereas pre-covid I would fuck 1 girl per day at least.

make sure you stay in the center if you do, i saw alot of cute university girls but was like 3 years ago, theres kind of nothing to do in the outskirts, its a pretty shit city, not even "cheaper"
