Me personally I don’t think I’ll ever leave my apartment. Despite being in the city center, the building is practically empty and there’s no other occupants on my floor lol.

I’ll just travel around the world and when I need a few months to bedrot, come here and drop off my trinkets from my expeditions

I don’t think things would get too bad for Americans living in China during a war. I was cross referencing other people’s experience while living in Russia right now and they seem to enjoy it

As for leaving China yeah, it’s necessary to see the rest of the world to prevent insanity probably. I think I’ll spend 2 months in Japan in the summer
Somehow, it’s starting to make sense to me why Chinese international students and such often stick amongst themselves. The world probably feels pretty alien and uncomfortable to them lol. Kinda sad

Yes in the future I’ll also be leaving China every summer, after my recent experience staying home for the season. The crowds of domestic tourists are unbearable.
