I mean more so for you guys that move around every few months, few weeks etc, long term trips away from "home" I'm interested to hear every nitty gritty part of the setup and durations you pack for.

I've changed my loadout many times over the years and i think this next long quest will be near to the final refinement of my technology setup.

here is going to be my minimum my base loadout (with no finalizations on the cables, gan chargers and other nicknacks yet, just an idea of what im working around )

- 2x iphone
- airpods
- 2x iems
- mac mini
-mba/macbook neo
- ipad mini
- portable monitor (currently 18" 120hz 1080p but too big, will later downside to something in the 13-16" range oled)
- pebble mouse & some sort of folding wireless keyboard type c
- psp
- travel router (need to look into this more, maybe ubiqiti?)

Sounds like a hastle to bring all that gear if you move around so often. For short trips I just take a MacBook. But I'm a onebagger. There's no better feeling than being the last off the plane and walking past all the cucks waiting for their checked luggage

with a short trip and home base not far from wherever im around, id be able to drop almost everything except the 2 phones. Also a lot of this is very small and in your pockets, you won't need checked luggage and can fit in a shit ton of clothes, I'll be narrowing down the weight of all items when I reorganize to these items.

Have you travelled for extended periods of time? It's brutal not having atleast 2 phones and 2 pcs, when something goes wrong its jover.

Tbf no my max has only been 3 weeks, in a couple months I'm gonna go to Asia for a couple years. But I'm used to working on laptop so I hope it will be fine if not I'll just but a monitor there. I'm impressed you can take all this without check luggage

the 18" monitor i already own and it doesn't fit in my backpack, def need to change it out for something else. I think you didn't actually glance at my base list, all that stuff is super tiny, mac mini is the size of your palm.

100% if you're getting a condo get a few cheap monitors i always do that, it's nice to have a small portable monitor though in the meantime or when using the laptop, i use it in vertical orientation, ipad mini sidecar next to it.

Here's the tech gear that I take when I travel :

- My Macbook pro 16 inches. I don't need an extra monitor because my $3000 laptop is already big enough.
- My iPhone + my Google Pixel. I use my iphone as my main phone, and my pixel phone for registering accounts on dating apps and to use wifi hotspot
- My Sennheiser headphones
- An extension cord with multiple outlets. Very useful because airbnbs typically don't have many outlets
- A universal outlet adapter

That's it. I'm thinking for my next travel I will not bring my Macbook pro and instead I will take my Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aurora Edition so that I can play Age of Empries 2 in-between fucking girls.

agree on the extension cords with universal outlets i usually buy when im there and toss it as it's usually fast and cheap to buy there but i may bring one with surge protection beforehand as im taking a mac mini.

what sennheiser headphones are you taking? im definitely not taking any over ears too annoying, glad i never did it.

I can't do solo laptop, the elevation and poor posture makes it hard to do any work, i have a mini folding aluminum stand that helps significantly.

nice that you take a pixel, i've always been travelling with a 2nd android but thinking of getting rid of it for another iphone, any downsides you see to not carrying a spare android vs an iphone? I too used hotspots with my 2nd phone and for dating apps but wonder if using an iphone for those things would make it harder.

- The exact model of my Sennheiser is HD599
- Yeah I don't care about posture personally, but that's because I use a Macbook pro without a mouse (I use the trackpad). If I were using a windows laptop, I would use a mouse and maybe a stand.
- As for using a pixel vs an iphone for a second phone, yeah I don't see any major downside of switching to an iphone. But an advantage of the pixel is that you can use "guest mode", so that you can very easily "reset" your apps without resetting your whole phone. A typical use-case is when I want to reset my tinder account. Without guest mode, I would have to reset my whole iphone.

oh that sounds convenient, i looked into rooted phones briefly for my backup but realized banking apps wont always work on it which is a huge failo for redundancy's sake.

Do you have multiple whatsapps on the second phone? I think there's a way to do that rather than just 1 extra one, huge buff not having to give out your personal numbers whatsapp

Rooted phones is a thing of the past. No app will work and you will get banned.

On the second phone I don't have whatsapp. I use my main phone for whatsapp. But it's not tied to my main phone number. I have 2 esims on my primary phone, one for calling / SMS, and one for chatting apps.
