I was looking at some oldcels photos from those years

Bangkok was looking really modern already

Tons of hot women their makeup was modern already and barely any fatties

Pretty much 0 young white people or any foreigners really. Remote work was not a thing, instagram was not a thing, hell even traveling wasn’t really a thing for young people. Only boomers traveled

Prices must have been 10x lower for everything rent food flights

Damn imagine being there back then probably a paradise on earth

Yes, that’s why i‘m telling the story in this thread. It was in 2012.

The mini golden era of 2020 - 2022 in Thailand during covid was better than 2010 - 2013.

You can probably still read trip reports on Happier Abroad from 2010, 2011 and dudes had similar complaints as now but you could stay much easier back to back on visa exempt etc

ahhhhhhh the good ole days

i don’t complain about th anymore since i got to experience 22

but i’ve squeezed enough and on to the next opportunity

but man were those good days!

prob still possible, but surely not at my looks level anymore!
