too rudimentary to rank them in order so i’ll say they’re all equal

hong kong (unofficially number one. special
place in my heart)

bangkok

seoul

london

hanoi

i wish i could put shsnghai. i really wish

but idk. i felt like everything in shanghai closes early at. literally cycled from huangpu river to jing’an and not ONE mcdonald’s open 24/7

i think there was one in pudong, but THERES NO WAY TO CROSS THE RIVER AT 2AM VIA PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OR BICYCLE

so i don’t think shanghai can be top 5

a big thing is a city has to be 24/7. i can’t operate on normie schedules.

fuck man, i love seoul

obviously it won’t go back to late 2010s peak but fucj

even the past couple years i’ve made good memories and pics i took where i look at and am flooded with nostalgia and dopamine

like this one

How much money do you need for luxury life there

As a mixed race person, do you feel ppl treat you better in Shanghai or Seoul?
seoul

but the old people in seoul are more xenophobic. idk why when the only reason their country exists is cuz we installed a capitalist regime and use their land for military bases

everyone in china is chill tho. and shanghai is more of a foreigner friendly city than seoul simply due to westerners going there to live since the mid 1800s

shanghai is the city in china locals are least likely to stare at you. even in non foreigner areas.

compared to seoul, where no matter what, old people will look at you. especially on the subway

can’t wait for them to die out in korea..

How much money do you need for luxury life there
depends

if you have a lot of cash, you can put a deposit of about $30,000 down and get a decent apartment and not pay rent for as long as you stay there, and then get the money back when you leave,

basically living rent free

i did this for my apartment (didn’t pay as much as 30k) and just use it to ship shit i don’t need while i’ve been constantly traveling the entirety of this year

if you’d rather do the standard western style of renting, expect to pay premiums and go for a foreign orientated agent. so like $2500 i’d say is a starting place for alright apartments

besides rent, seouls pretty cheap imo.

we have a dedicated section for those two cities -->/r/thepassportbros
they're old and p4p

Have you been to Busan? Apparently that’s a hidden gem, or maybe too small for you?
yea it’s nice

could be a good place to live if you don’t want to live in fast paced seoul

but i prefer jeju island over busan.
