Internet wasn't as big of a deal and people spent maybe max 1-2 hours on their phone per day, everything else just authentic social interaction without automatically being compared to the chadlites she saw on Instagram.
Also being able to experience the culture and learn the language while being one of the few foreigners there at the time.
American economy and wealth inequality wasn't in the poophole yet so the average working class young man was making enough to easily visit every year on paid vacation. Could even easily transition to living there full time as an expat cause it was dirt easy to get a job in CS back then, just to go to a coding bootcamp and instantly get a job anywhere in the western world making 100k a year as a junior software engineer. Man I wish I could go back to that time just in general.

I remember reading old blogs and seeing old videos from PUAs who were slaying in Japan. It seemed insane. I recall one Youtube video with a Norwood VI scrawny white guy demonstrating his nightlife with some Japanese girls in tow. He was drinking with them, got them to flash their panties, made out with one of them, etc. He wasn't even good-looking. I think it was from the late 2000s or early 2010s?

Of course, there's Ryan Boundless, who has a legitimate facial deformity of some kind, who manages to pull an attractive Japanese girl. He even starred in some JAV video apparently.

All that craziness seems over now.

Idk why I was pinged since I'm a lil bro, but yeah, it was probably better. In fact, the further back you got the better the foreign SMV boost was. 80s probably better than 90s, 90s better than 00s, etc.

That being said, Japan (or at least Tokyo) is still a sexual Wild West and if you have the attractiveness to pull, your experiences will be very vibrant. That part hasn't changed. It's the easiest place to have threesomes, convince girls to record video, have sex in public, or whatever else you want to do. Sexual wonderland for sure mostly due to have nonchalant sexuality is

Compared to the U.S. and (from what I've seen so far) China, I think Japan is also less hypergamous and "rat racey" in general with sex and dating. This may also be tied into sex being "not a big deal". People seem less vain in Japan, less prone to chasing trends and shiny status symbols, more just living in the moment and having fun.

Edit: Just dawned on me that maybe I am going to be an oldcel soon, I have no right to refer to myself as lil bro at 27 💀 fearing the reaper
