As some may know, I'm working as an English teacher in China. I used Hellotalk before coming here and for maybe a few weeks after, but tbh it takes wayy too much effort for anything good. It's like a slot machine. Dating apps mog
Anyways in like half of my classes now, one by one, due to the nearby feature on Hellotalk, some students have showed me a screenshot of my profile on the app asking "is this you?" and they show me jestermaxxing for chinks on their phone... so now my cortisol spikes by like 5% all the time in those classes
Tbh though I just tell them all to follow me and LARP not embarassed. Fuck it

Not many options for the average guy in China in terms of visa, they don't easily hire foreigners for status anymore
also unless you want to date models or hiso girls, it doesn't matter

yeah lately i'm finding hellotalk quite lackluster, doesn't help that 90% of asian girls have no decent photos showing face/body or fraud a lot. I guess it's good if you are still in the west and you have time to waste searching for a rare undiscovered gem, if you have boots on the ground dating apps and irl mog hard

It's maybe a savior for people in the LTN range or for other countries besides China. But in any large Chinese city you should ideally be getting plenty of attention/a roster built up off dating apps after being in the country for a while
