Recommendation Finding affordable apartments

since a lot of people here are certified geomaxxers, do you have tips for finding affordable long-term (1y+) furnished apartments/houses in indonesia?

and do you rent an unfurnished apt and then buy furniture? what do you do if you move? is it expensive to ship your furniture to another SEA country?

I usually do the basic Airbnb for a month and then ask the owner off Airbnb, as well as the building manager / people in the building if there are other apartments at a cheaper price

I’ve never tried Facebook groups or local sites but the prices don’t seem too different to what you get with this method, at least in Bangkok and Philippines

I’ve never done unfurnished but I assume people buy super cheap ikea furniture, shipping is probably super expensive

Airbnb is usually a lot more expensive. Try to use google reverse image search to find the same property cheaper on sites like agoda.com. Worked great for me in Malaysia

never rent unfurnished unless you're living there for atleast 1 year+ minimum, it's not worth your lifespan to buy all that shit and try to decorate

Airbnb for 1 month, once there find the local equivalent that everyone uses to rent
visit a few areas, and condos in person
