I hate Chinese food. I often have diarrhea after I eat something from the street. They put so many sauces and spices in the food, my stomach cannot handle it. The food from the restaurants tastes like shit.
Even the major fast food chains taste like shit.
Meanwhile when I spent a few days in Manila, I loved the food. i never had diarrhea. The fast food chains offer the quality you are used to from Europe. At Jollibee you can eat chicken with rice every day which is not even unheathy and tastes great. I felt much better there. Also Bangkok has better food than China because the fast food there is high quality and you can have western every day

bangkok fast food is the best

and just eat kfc in china bruh, i eat this most times and never get sick

mcdonald’s in china is really dehydrating compared to other locations in asia, idk why

but yea the only thing that tastes good in philippines is jollibees. that’s mostly what i ate when i stayed there for a month lol

Burger king in manila is also great and Wendys also. And you can always have great steak in BGC or eat italian

I also love Mixue Bingcheng, the ones that always sing „ice cream and tea“ when you walk past them

China has extremely good food when you are willing to pay the price. I mainly know the restaurants in Beijing but there are some premium chains that are very good.
When it’s cheap, it’s often shitty. They have numerous foreign foods as well like Japanese 火锅, Korean BBQ or 火锅, Thai food. For example check out the chain Xitalaotaitai. It’s Korean food, lots of beef. Very healthy, you are going to pay Euro-level prices but the food is good quality meat and actually tastes good.
The food from Hefei, Nanjing and Beijing is really solid.
As a rule of thumb : avoid night markets and vendors on the streets and you will find good restaurants in malls. The better the mall the better the restaurants (often on the last floor).
Go to the places where many people eat also of course.

I was just like you and thought Chinese food was shit for the first month. Now I love it.

By the way, you can also get some solid lattes in LuckinCoffee. Very cheap, you can have them iced or hot, I recommend the one with butter and no sugar. Great for leanmaxxing cheaply.
