Here are 4 reasons why you should stay in hostels instead of hotels.
  1. Its dirt cheap
  2. You can have some fun experiences with other travelers. Most people are left wing, hippie or NPC. But quite often you meet someone you can level with and go do fun stuff together.
  3. Female travelers are really promiscuous in hostels because they are far from home. (I experienced many people having sex in the dormroom including myself)
  4. You can train your social skills because you can interact with everyone without it being weird
If you are poorcel and you first arrive in a city you can stay in a dorm for €5/6 in SEA and LATAM. Than you can go on first dates staying in your dorm. Sleeping with 12 other people in the room is not optimal but its really not that bad if you use earplugs, sleep mask and there are no Indians jfl

You first go on a first date without the intent to bring her back home what signals being high class and not pushy. (Some girls initiate themselves they want to go to your place so you have to say no.)

After a week you rent a private room in the hostel and invite all the girls for a second date to your place to watch a movie.

This way you save yourself a lot of money, get a chance with the girls in the hostel, practice social skills and have way more fun overall.

I do this over Airbnbs now. Hostels explicitly offer more utility for a lower price. But I wouldn't recommend hostels with 12 to 15 people. It should 8 people max. Every hostel I've been to with fucking 15 people, I always catch some fucking illness from the local bum in the room. Every Airbnb in latam has been fucking shit for the price I paid. It's always some issue of lacking kitchen utensils or equipment, terrible beds, shower or toilet not working properly, it being really fucking hot due to poor construction, noise, or literally fucking anything.

You should get a bike or motorcycle too. Or learn to take the bus.

If you are remote working hostels are impossible to live in, unless you work 2h per day

That's nice and all but privacy and good sleep is like my top priority while geomaxxing so i guess this strategy is not for me. It sucks since i too despise spending so much money in airbnbs and hotels, especially in places like Tokyo or Seoul, i wish staying in hostels was viable for me.

Also, are you allowed to bring guests into the hostels? Few times i've been to one they were pretty strict about not letting outsiders in, mostly for fear of stuff disappearing from the rooms
