tell me a reason please

in the uk u can be on £1400 a month from all kinds of benefits

even a £32k a year job which is above avg in any city besides London is only £1900 a month after tax

0 hours of work = £1400
190 hours of work = £1900

ur telling me i should do 190 hours of work for an extra £500?
and the pain i experience during work, the sleepless nights?

just invest £200 of ur £1400 every month starting from early 20s and have a million in a few decades

GRAVITAS.

The point is working experience gives you leverage later. But it doesn't matter if you're planning to rope after your 20s and early 30s are done

Back when I worked 9–5 I had the usual middle-class bias that people on benefits are lazy leeches smoking and rotting all day.

Admittedly, I feel a bit nasty if I talk bad about wageing in the West in, considering there are SEA's who are working 12 hour shifts barely getting by, or people in poorer countries smashing rocks for minuscule pay who can't just jump onto social security.

Despite that, my perspective has changed.

If I would have to go back to the West, I would consider getting on benefits instead of dreading a 9–5.
After all, why should you give your life to build/do something for someone else when you have the option not to. If you're willing you can go on benefits and instead of wageing or rotting you have the power to use that time and energy for yourself. Keeping a good social circle, improving, reading, training, building something for income.
