What monthly budget should one have in cities like Manila, Cebu, Bangkok etc

Lifestyle is decent one-room apartment with kitchen close to a mall, 1-2 dates a week (not fancy, something like eating at the mall), eating decent food, nightlife once or twice a month
is 1000 to 1500 USD enough in these places?

Because I saw a similar question on Reddit /thepassportbros and people claimed you need at least 2500 or 3000 USD, some even said 5000 USD plus.

if you do it low budget yeah, thepassportbros guys are mostly from US and old guys that are into p4p and betabuxxing, so they spend a lot of $$$

small condo can go for 400-500$ or even less, 1 year lease, outside the city center
eating at the mall or some cheap date can be had for less than 15$ per person
nightlife can be cheap

now if you want a good lifestyle you need to multiply all that x2-3
condos in trendy areas of Bangkok are now closer to 1k$/month
fine dining is gonna be 50-100$ per person
nightlife at the cool clubs is gonna be expensive...

Kuala Lumpur is also pretty cheap and there seems to be way less degeneracy. There are some expats but theres less of them and last I heard it's still not much of a party destination so it's probably better for settling down with an asian wife.

KL is more expensive than Bangkok in my experience.

Recently been, lots of decent and young white guys in the city center (but less than Bangkok), also the only fuckable subset of the population is the Chinese Malaysian girls, since Indians and pure Malaysian are very ugly. The city is comfy tho, lots of green spaces, good public transport, good walkability at least in the central area. Cost of living wise it's more expensive than Thailand or Vietnam, but not on Japan or Korea level. Imo is a good destination if you already have a girl to lock in ltr, not much for a slaycation (apps results were mediocre there)
