I don't really agree. Before I "ascended" I thought about Valentine's Day like this, worrying about where to take a girl to make the best impression, what gifts, etc. Now I still do the same thing and try to give a nice gift, it's just the motive have changed, I do it because it feels good to give gifts and see people you care about be happy. You can still enjoy the day it's just the reason for the giftgiving changes.
