No, in Tokyo a room in a decent location is 400-500$

You need at least 4000$ a month if you want to live in a studio/1bed central Tokyo, and go out regularly for nightlife, dates, etc.
But If you can live in the suburbs and commute and live more frugally, it’s relatively easy enough to live for around 1500$ a month.
