I thought peak life was working online, living at some luxury condo near the beach

I realized I think I was wrong

Peak life is:

A small bamboo hut on some land near the beach in the province

Big piece of land for a very small rent price like 200usd (since its provincial)

Plant shit loads of fruit trees and vegetables

Get a bunch of chickens, a few goats, few pigs

Have a small wooden boat so u can go fishing and go out on the water whenever you want

Gf, kids, couple of dogs

Then just eat the food from your farm, sell the leftovers to pay a bit of the rent and ur gas bills etc

Basically living for extremely cheap, eating well, very little work. Maybe just 30 mins per day feeding ur animals

Freedom, beachside nature, space to do whatever you want

An hour away from the city So you can go to civilization when needed for things

Way more of a mogger lifestyle than wageslaving 5 days a week staring at a screen

Any holes in my plan?

sounds great.

until one of you gets bored of it.

probably your gf first who sees fancy shit happening on instagram and wants some of it, starts creating drama and then your little idyll starts cracking.

or eventually one of you or your kids has medical problems that require more money than the farm is making.

Fair points, idk if u can really get bored of it, the whole point is to stop working so you can enjoy your life doing shit that u wanna do all day instead of wageslaving 247, right?

Fancy shit like what?

Hmm medical problems money would be a concern

A lot more labor involved than 30 minutes a day. Better off wagecucking at your computer for 1 hour and making like $20 to pay for a day of food

I went down the self sufficiency/homesteading rabbithole pretty hard before I came across geomaxxing and COL minning in SEA. Sometimes I still think about it but ig the fact you’re at the whims of the weather and waiting literal ages for things like fruit trees and whatnot to mature isn’t great, and you still need to put money in (fertilizer/feed, utilities, electricity, etc) at least up front. No brainer to have some land and grow food if you want to retire and live in 1 place tho imo

https://youtube.com/@kirstendirksen this channel is a goldmine if you want some outside the box ideas like fully automating things

You also gotta imagine why eating out is so dirt cheap in geomax locations like SEA/SA compared to cooking for yourself. Because they’re willing to work for so little and buy in bulk such that that it beats any arbitrage you could do as an individual. So as per my point above, you’re better off remote working and just buying from impoverished farmers instead of doing it all yourself since your $ per hour of labor will take you further.
In high-COL western countries though? Maybe it starts to become worth it. The math has a lot of variables so I have no idea tbh, maybe ask an AI

this is purely rational and explainable in terms of division of labor. however when shtf i dont want to be caught lacking relying on others for my most important resource, food and water. my peak would be country living with a couple of acres to grow my own food on. it's probably something i'd like doing as well so i can see it as a hobby. but that's a personal choice.

i asked AI what SEA/EA countries a foreigner can own property AND land in, all i get is malaysia and japan. not the worst outcome if you want to stay in the region.

or maybe i just do this in a europoor country as i have EU citizenship. i'll have to see.
