Internets been trending down since smartphones came out and any retard normie could go on it but they really put the clamps on independent websites since 2015 with the whole trump garbage.

Internet used to be so much fucking better. Search engines actually Worked. Flash games were king. There was still a culture of sharing websites irl to visit. You could comment on just about anything without being banned.

Now it’s all controlled and the searches are manipulated. Since it’s all normie there is no movement of sharing any website that doesn’t pop up on google. Dwindling number of websites that are purely business and money making ones. Self hosted sites dissapearing.

yea 3 years ago was such a long time im having a hard time remembering. for you its a big difference because you turned 12 to 15. for someone over 30 it seems like a few weeks passed and nothings different.

Things might actually be better now than in 2016 tbh. More and more people sick of the big platforms like Reddit. I’ve found a lot of newer independent forums and sites that have sprung up in only the last five ish years
