I was just reading @Rance post about China and it reminded me of Tandem when I tried it in 2024 and its potential. I think the quality of girls is on there is decent. There are a lot of ogre femcels on Tandem of course, but that goes for all apps similar to it. These girls are very attention hungry, so take advantage of that when you travel to China. I noticed when briefly chatting to some of them that they are eager to meet up as well. Also the Europe idolization is really funny. Active = algo pushing IF your profile is good enough, not active = profile hidden. So I kind of nerfed my own reach by never responding on there. Just cba when I am not even there.

Anyway, people rarely post actual results/examples of the girls, so you be the judge here. Like I said, I think the quality is ok. Nothing special, but I think the easy slay potential is good. Also didn't optimize my profile for attracting girls, I initially just wanted to learn some Chinese lmao. I know for a fact I could get much better results if I actively use it and optimize my profile, so I suggest you do the same if you travel there.

You're unlikely to come across any knockouts on these language apps in general and to be honest I'm very suspicious of the profiles that are. But these women also tend to be higher IQ and more interesting, in general, than those on dating apps and it's absolutely possible to build a relationship with one.

I haven't used Tandem pro before but I imagine that if you set your languages to both Chinese and Spanish with it and are at least decent looking with colored eyes then it would be worth it

Worth it on HelloTalk. I'm much more skeptical about how useful Tandem's paid service is.

One huge thing that will make or break it for you: Tandem pro will allow you to see users near you, something which is free on HelloTalk.

Good strat if you are Chadlite+ otherwise you are wasting your time. Like I said in the HT thread, many of these girls who will sleep with you do not even know they want to sleep with you until you meet. Their minds are in "language exchange" mode and they will deflect direct advances.

my general thinking is that around half of women wouldn't meet with you in the first place if they didnt have sex in the back of their minds. I feel like hiding your intentions might actually work better for someone higher than HTN than for an HTN. for an HTN or lower I feel like a stronger frame is needed to set the tone and let her know how she is supposed to feel about you. for someone better looking for an HTN the women will fill the gaps with her imagination on her own, which she would totally not do for a MTN

It's entirely possible I'm misjudging my SMV. I still haven't got a good grasp on it. I can tell you I'm no higher than a 6 in the West, barely passing as HTN and arguably not really at all... like a 5.8. I think my features result in an unusually high SMV boost because they fit the Japan beauty standard really well.
