I'd like to share some insight from what I've observed:

1) They will absolutely make you look great
A gym buddy got on them and got ripped.
He doubled his protein intake and workout intensity to get there.

2) They will damage your brain
He complained of paranoia, anxiety, nightmares, panic attacks, etc.
I could see his behavior become erratic.

Studies have come out that show changes in brain structure in steroid users.
Correlational to be sure, but seems likely.

3) Fertility issues are a concern
Some guys use HCG to prevent that but there are risks in that too.
For one, it only partially replaces natural fertility hormones.
That's even if you get real HCG. Its often fake, low quality, degraded, etc. Its a peptide so it has stability issues.

4) Dependency
People get addicted to steroids. Perhaps more psychologically than physically, but I saw my buddy having to plan getting needles and storing his stuff. Puts a damper on travel and independence for sure.

5) TRT
For older guys and people with real deficiences, it may be a good idea to get on low doses of testosterone.
But there are risks and benefits to carefully consider. Its hard to stop once you get on long term.
Losing fat and optimizing diet are certainly worth trying first.

The legendary zyzz is a good example of the risks. RIP

Anyways, not to get on an anti-steroid rant here but I wanted to share this for anyone considering.
In the hypergamous West, many guys are so desperate they turn to steroids in their desperation.

Thankfully, we have geomaxxing.

Why do you need steroids? If you are going for aesthetics there's 0 reason for it, those bodies are more often than not are uglier than what you can get natural

Agreed. My gf said she was disgusted by the pro-bodybuilders she saw. "Freaks" "Apes"
Totally possible to get a good aesthetic without any of the risks.
https://startingstrength.com/ has good info on solid training methods. Can vary the rep range, volume around but squats/deadlifts/bench press/shoulder press/rows + a solid diet will lead to great results.

Start of w starms then roid imo

Roids are great if you are a competitive lifter or otherwise want to lift really heavy things on the regular.

They are a retarded idea if you want to have a good dating life. Outside of a specific niche of girls who really like jacked guys, they will make you look worse. You don't want a 10% BFP or a BMI of 27. It doesn't look good to the vast majority of girls, especially in Asia. This is gymcel 101, don't get caught in this trap

I wonder if it's possible to "microdose" steroids to get slightly better gains in the gym while skirting the side effects
