1. look presentable (in decent shape, put together, basically not the sexpat stereotype)
2. talk about the "normal" things you did in Asia (hiking, surfing, visiting landmarks etc.)
then most people will not judge you negatively. if anything, they will probably see it positively, because traveling is a high-status hobby. and even if someone does judge you - who gives a fuck?
