Airbnb is usually more expensive as they charge you a premium for the convenience and short term, but longterm condos usually start at 12 months, a few may do 6 months (but they usually overcharge)

There's facebook groups that are quite popular for lease take over but not entirely sure how it works

Best option is probably to get airbnb/hotel for 1 month, and check facebook groups or ask around if some condos do shorter than 6 months

Check out Renthub for short term rentals. In terms of areas there's quite a few I like. Udom Suk is one. You can get some good deals on cheap condos there and still access to the centre when you want to go there.

I'm currently staying in a short term rental in Samut Prakan, just outside of bkk. It's nice here and lots of condo options.

Great advice, thanks.

I saw Udom Suk recommended by an expat too.

I’m looking a little bit further up the line currently, outside the tourist bubble but still expat/centric. like Phra Khanong, On Nut, Punnawithi. Are they worth paying extra compared to further down south?

I see it’s still on the green line. But takes like an hour to the center. Does it not feel a bit isolated out there without speaking Thai? How do dates react when you invite them?

Obviously you lose the logistics halo if you aren't in a cool place like thong lor, but it depends on the game you're playing.
It's gonna be a hard sell if you are semi betabuxxing to invite them to your area.

But if you are geniuely going for non gold digger girls, you can invite them to a spot close to you or grab back to your place after the date if you go to some central mall.

I know a guy that pulled hotties back to a 100$ local pattaya appartment, wasn't even a condo. And his dates were a local spot that costed less than 15$ total or night market. Could anyone pull this off? honestly no, so you need to know your game and SMV

there's guys that their whole game is living in thong lor and spending 200$ per date + bringing them back to luxury condo that is 2 minutes away walking, but they would score 0 if he invited girls to a different area and local food place

Anywhere heading east on the green line will be gentrified tourist slop. If you don’t want to be around them, go north of chatuchak. It will be more of a university and middle working class thai area

I really like Ratchathewi because you go one way on the BTS and you have the rich area, and then the other way you have the poor area. Also it’s next to the station with the direct airport link. It has really good logistics

I agree with Alex that west on the green line is better. The higher you go up the cheaper it will be, but if you want to be around more expats then east is probably better
