how are we getting mogged by a literal third world country like Vietnam


Several factors can influence a country’s average IQ:

  1. Infectious Diseases: A 2010 study demonstrated that countries with high rates of infectious diseases generally have populations with lower average IQ scores. These diseases can negatively affect cognitive development. Africa is the continent most affected by infectious diseases.

To conclude, countries with good healthcare systems, that promote healthy dietary habits, and encourage their citizens to engage in intellectually stimulating activities, tend to have populations with higher average IQs.

Genetics provides a solid foundation upon which the environment can build further. Thus, good genetics combined with a good environment tend to increase the average IQ score. The global average IQ should therefore gradually increase, as confirmed by a 2014 study, which observed a 2.31 IQ score increase per decade. This phenomenon is known as the Flynn Effect.

However, the purpose of the IQ test is to classify the population around an average of 100. The algorithm of the international IQ test should therefore adapt to this increase to maintain the IQ average at 100 with a standard deviation of 15.

as i stated in the thread where i originally posted this source: there is most likely a selection bias. they don't go into schools or something and just test everyone. only people who voluntarely take this test on the website are included. and those are most likely smarter people. random low iq poor people probably don't even have internet access and thus aren't measured at all.

the answer is GENETICS. period.
and the one offs. what are one offs? like anything. Life is a mysterious thing and you can have two dumb parents give birth to a genius. Doesn't happen very often, it's rare. but it happens

just like two ugly parents can spawn a pretty girl. Rarely happens, but it can.
 
They are the one getting mogged. Despite having more iq their country is poor asf.

Also the participant number has a huge impact: the lower number the more likely is that the sample average is far from the real average.
And on top of that, as Marco said, countries with fever participants probably have a biased estimate.

list is very obviously flawed. IRAN 106? fucking please. INDIA 99? whoever made this list should kill themselves

a side comment, the average iq in rural china, which is most of china, is 88 if you look at the test data. which is about in line where you would expect itto be compared to vietnam or thailand after considering they killed off their educated class at least twice within the last century. you have to keep in mind that at least 30% of their population is vietnamese type or thai type people who were taken in as slaves and slowly converted. it goes a long way to explain the massive gap in achievement or even basic shit like "dont make bricks out of corncobs"
 
it's impossible to determine IQ. Let's say you do your first test and get 100. By solving these tests you will train your brain and then you will get 120+.

Why asians get good scores in these tests? Because they are coping and it's very popular to solve these tests there. They train, then get high score and start to think good about themselves.

The highest IQ are white europeans. Look at all innovations and discoveries throughout history. Newton or Einstein were not some niggers or asians. Almost every tool you are using first was engineered by a white guy.

Asia has 5x more people. If they were any smart, they would control the world, be economical superpower.

Anecdotal experience, but very common: talented indian goes to europe, works as software engineer, he has self proclaimed high iq, but he could not write readable/simple code even if his life depends on it. They are not smart. They overengineer and it's sign of being idiot. Look at all overengineered crap asians do and people don't use it, because it's stupid.

Whites have more developed prefrontal cortex. Imagine trying to survive in warm conditions, you just need to get food for few days and then chill. Whites had to survive in cold environment for most of the year, they had to plan long term, the ones who were thinking like niggers (short term) just died
 
also it’s cuz asians are culturally more right brained thinking, and even then it isn’t that big of a deal nowadays due to globalization.

obviously you have never taken a mensa IQ test. If you did, you would not say this. I have. twice. 136 the first time, the second time 134. So either a coincidence. Or my IQ is 134-136.

it's why the average IQ in africa is 67-68. And yet the average IQ in america is 98-99 and colder european countries like canada score 100-101, or higher

yes, that is my argument. I said you were half right. Are you butt hurt, because you are not right all the time. You have never taken one, and your talking about something that you have never done. Would that not be called in crude terms "talking out of your ass". Now I can only assume you never took one, by the way you are talking about an "IQ test" . The IQ questions are so vastly different. You cannot "train your brain" And my second point. IF you are right, and you can train your brain to score higher on IQ tests. By your own admission. Doesn't that mean you are smart enough in IQ to do this?

But i am fairly sure those people used at test subjects could not "train their brains" cited in this photo. read it. And then i challenge you to try one of his examples.

give us an example where he describes of a 3rd level (frame) portion of the story citing this guys example. If you dont' want to take the IQ test. Lets see if you can. After all I can, and according to you, I stupid. You do it first, and if you get it wrong. I will do it here, lets see who gets it right.

mensa may be the gold standard for iq tests but i'm sceptical about how meaningful it is. it only contains solving matrices which is just one piece in the puzzle of intelligence.
 
What website is this?

I doubt the samples are very representative. For poor countries only the wealthiest people are on the web, and for non-english speaking/non-western countries the people visiting a western website are also very selected for certain skills

And that's just for the population of internet users, not the whole country's. There may be cultural factors which impact how and who uses the internet there, plus the whole age thing

I could be wrong, no doubt, but I believed you can train your train to notice patterns more. When I first started to grasp recursion in software engineering, it was almost impossible for me to visualize, but after I kept solving problems, I got crazy vivid dreams how recursion worked. I had these dreams whenever I had painful session of brain training. For sure I don't see things the same way or think the same way like before. Few years ago if I took test I would score about 130, but these days I managed to score around 150. When I changed job, they gave pattern recognition test, I got max score, no way I would be able to do that before

I guess there's multiple forms of intelligence but what I care about is that form of intelligence that you can just pick up on from talking to people. You ever talk with someone and they just aren't operating on a "higher wavelength"? Not understanding when you say something overt but with a hidden meaning, i.e. taking everything at face value. Not quite understanding the implications of situations right away. Slow to understand logic and reasoning.

When you've got a group of intelligent homies you can say almost nothing and they all pick up on exactly what you want and why you want it. Those are the kinds of friends I like to surround myself with.

This is also the kind of intelligence that helps you the most with women imo.

Probably correlates with other forms of intelligence.

ideally iq tests dont have repeating patterns, and so thus cannot be trained for. an ideal test would have a couple of matrices and then a few other types of pattern recognition sequences that are not matrices.

you can train matrices, but there are nearly infinite numbers of ways to construct matrices. so even ifyou train for it, the impact it will have is minimal if the test is comprehensive enough.

people can train for very specific tests, but the inherent purpose of the iq test is to create a series of patterns that test for something that no one has trained for in order to achieve the most representative results. thankfully there is not actually any end to the types of things that can be created.

in a sense the practical definition of IQ is that there are things that dumb people CANNOT learn under ANY circumstances whatsoever, but someone untrained can still see them. this is not the ideal definition of iq but I dare you to teach a nigger to be able to understand recursive equatins. you literally cant do it. they barely see shapes in simple matrices. that's good enough to prove IQ exists. it's just a matter of practicality in defining it at the higher levels.
