It was my favorite movie when it came out. For good reasons. Absolute masterpiece.

Not only the whole pill thing that derived from it.

But also that the creation of AI around the beginning of the 21st century was the beginning of the end of society. And that the machines picked the time around the millennium as the peak of civilization.

Truly visionary.
