you geomax to faraway lands, you experience a new culture, learn a new language and meet that special lady. suddenly she decides she wants a dog that you'll probably become defacto co-owner of, she'll love it more than you and on top of that you have to pay for the vet visits and food THEN take it on walks because "she doesnt feel like it" or "has cramps"

i kind of want consistent access to a dog and a cat but i don't want to be the owner, it seems so nice but knowing my lifestyle on a whim i'd want to just go to other places, can't even really take ur pets to a hotel and it would just make life inconvenient.

Perhaps during a PHD sidequest in my mid to late 30's i could own one, but after a few years i might be on the move again..
