This is a legit score, and the test was administered by a licensed psychologist. The test was done when I was 19.




I guess I'm low-key bragging, but I don't have much else to brag about in my life.
It's nothing absurd, though, only the top 8%. Definitely above average but not genius tier or anything.
I wonder if I could've got a higher score if I had eaten beforehand and hadn't gotten up early to meet with the psychologist, which gave me stress.
It might be lower depending on when the test was normed. I think the general rule is that the test is 0.3 points off for every year that passes.
I don't know if that's the case here.

I'm not trying to rub it in, but I was genuinely very shocked when I first saw it. I thought my IQ would've been around 90-95.
In retrospect, I shouldn't be too surprised because I spoke my first sentence around 8 months old, and I could write my full name when I was 4 years old, when the other kids in my class were struggling to write their first names.

I owe it to my mom and my maternal grandmother. They would read to me a lot as a kid, and my mom used to be an English teacher.
Either that or their genetics. I think I would've ended up retarded if it were up to my dad or maternal grandfather because they just sit in front of the TV all the time and rarely taught me anything of value. In fact, they actually taught me some wrong things.

Have any of you guys taken a legit IQ test before? (Not that free online garbage).

Conclusions​

The biggest risk factor is neuroticism. Not intelligence. You can be low IQ and neurotic or high IQ and neurotic. That's a much bigger predictor.

I don’t want to come off egotistical but I’ll explain what it’s like to have “gifted” iq, as I said I knew a bunch of “gifted” people was in tons of “gifted” programs and was invited to join Mensa but my parents declined on my behalf for some normie reasons.

Tested at 8 years old, WISC-V. 99th percentile. My parents thought I was mentally retarded and wanted to put me on drugs

Later I took some less serious intelligence tests 14-15, I aced those too like always. I don’t remember the exact test. My parents were trying to flex on their friends and so on.

I found the “gifted” discord when I was 16-17 and started looking into it, I just genuinely score high on on IQ tests especially in Spacial reasoning tests. My worst is verbal reasoning. And btw there are people that score much much higher. I know I didn’t seriously test but trust we did all the test like they are supposed to be taken. WAIS and whatever other tests. I just score highly it is what it is. Maybe I would be a lower percentile if I did an official.

I taught myself to do c++ and reverse engineering at 12 years old and got into a lot of game cheating communities with people way smarter than me As well and let me tell you I’m not even close to some of them. One really common thing is that average intelligence people would think I’m as smart as like these 0.1% people and I wasn’t even slightly close. But we be put in same box. Human intelligence is so brutal and ever ending a lot like money, someone’s always got more… Not just a little bit more.

Now I’d be lying if I didn’t know I was a bit “smart”. The most often times I notice this isn’t like solving math problems faster than others, but like never studying for any tests and just getting high marks.

Seeing patterns others don’t. I have like serious pattern recognition computing power idk how else to explain it.

The other time was in group projects in physics classes, I’d just instantly understand the concept before everyone else in my group while the teacher is still explaining it mid-sentence.

I was a very undisciplined student though, I’d get all 0s on my homework (but I learned to just have an homework copying network) and then try to find ways to manipulative the teacher into giving me As.

I only even slightly started to struggle on tests by never studying once we hit calculus B or whatever.

Ok other than these times I never notice a single difference when talking to people. I don’t really “feel” super smart. I just have this extended ability to notice patterns others don’t. I knew some people with the more impressive “Hollywood” kind of high iq where they are solving complicated math questions quickly or me memorizing large things but that’s not me at all.

Anyway be happy your score is high you shouldn’t look at it like a mog contest, but more like validation. No you aren’t crazy, no you aren’t stupid.
