Was paying 1.7k euros per month on rent on airbnb for 2 months

Foid told me its the best condo in the entire city and I couldn't find any better online

The view, amenities, pool etc everything was peak luxury

Thats why I didn't really fit in there as a gucci'd out tatted manlet who play gangster rap music on loud speaker at the pool every day and bring back a different girl every night

Everyone was like 6ft4 American but ethnic nerd remote workers or families of chink millionaires who wears suits every day

Shame it got destroyed by earthquake but might go back there after they repaired it and I check out phils

Tatoos are such a falio in Asia😂

1.7k is medium/average priced in bangkok.

The highest quality/expense condos are:

- The Scope Langsuan
- Ritz Carlton residences (The most well known condo in bkk, in fact units here have been a historically good investment even in the real estate bubbles)
- Four Seasons residences
- Mandarin oriental residences
- Sindhorn Tonson
- 98 wireless

12 month leases start at around 5k/month for a 1 bedroom in most of these (although typically 80sqm or more space)

lets be real life asoke is not peak luxury you just overpay for wannabe prestigious 25 sqm shithole in shiny ruski filled building
Its the first thing all real estate agents recommend (for forigners) because its the most (overpriced, even while being cheap), so it commands the highest commission. Owners are probably yielding 10-15% at this point.

Yeah i forgot. Lots of renovated units too though the ones for 3.5k are usually older appliances etc. or on a lower floor.

The average wage is 300 per month here. 1700 is like 20x average condo price . Hence why I stayed in the best place in the entire city

Yes but you gotta realize, the things that actually become cheaper in a "cheap" country: humans. You can't get gold for cheaper in Thailand (significance is the building materials, marble granite etc.). $300 condo is going to be trash.
