A year ago my business mentor said something that I completely didn’t understand at the time because I just wanted to be lazy and enjoy life in Thailand slaying girls.

He said entrepreneurship is the ultimate form of self development (half true but also not really) but also said that business is the best video game and most fulfilling thing in life because it’s the only thing where the levels basically never end.

Because everything gets boring, food, video games, sex, even “delayed gratification” stuff like learning new skills get boring once you reach a high level at it.

But business and money and power and secret societies etc literally go up and up and up forever, which is why in theory it’s the only thing that never gets boring.

Maybe having kids too but eventually they grow up and move out and you’re back to boring

I’m still a brokie tbh before anyone claims I’m trying to larp as rich. There’s some people on this site who are actually rich but it’s not me

becoming that made me giga depressed tbh. all the money and did everything people dream about but felt stressed and anxious every second of the day. not worth at all. workaholic is a sad existence i can guarantee you that
That’s true but it depends on the person. Some people ThRIve uNDer PrEssURe

I would probably be depressed too though

i used to say that as well until i wanted to kms every day. to each his own though. i now try to work on my business as little as possible and enjoy a low cortisol stress free life

I feel like people get trapped in a loop of “work life balance” and so on. My final thoughts on this is you need seasons of workoholic to truly see striking results in life. Effort compounds exponentially, not linear especially in non-wagie circumstances.

6 months on, 6 months off or even just 3 months on and 9 months off is going to bear more results than 12 months 60% living 40% working. My experience anyway. Also allows you to enjoy your free time to the fullest.

I mean in dating too, not just business. If I give something 50% effort for a year nothing really moves, but 110% effort for a month 100x gets done
