There's an old guy in my hometown who married a mainland Chinese woman and lived with her in Hong Kong for a time. He thought about joining the HK police at a time when they still recruited Brit officers. They moved to UK instead and had kids here.
One of the few boomers I like and that doesn't annoy me.
