in shithole countries watch out for crappy roads. i stayed at a hostel in chiang mai. some white girls took the popular scooter trip to Pai. the next day one of them came back already and i asked her why she's back so soon. she said she wanted to get help. one of the other girls drove over a pothole in the crappy road and fell while her leg somehow got stuck in the scooter. then she lied on the street and her ankle bone stung out of her leg. in the rural area of thailand they only have shitty doctors who patched it in a half-assed way so they needed to get her transported back to chiang mai to get proper treatment.
