Everytime you enter the subway they scan your water bottle. I guess because it could be liquid explosives?

I don't mind that they wanna keep it safe so it doesn't become like europe. But it gets tiring.

If you have your whole luggage with you it's even more annoying. They made me unpack my knife and wrapped it into some paper and taped it. like i was some stabbing guy.

i flew half way around the world with my knife and all the hook girl at the airport did was open my suitcase, write something down, then give it back to me lol

i got used to it because it came in handy in several situations in the past.

and i don't even mean stabbing.

i.e. you stay in a basic room without cutlery and buy some groceries and there is something to cut.

but maybe you're right and in asia i should just rely on scissors instead to avoid hassle.
