are russians really hated on an international scale?

i've met some cool ones but it seems like they have a terrible reputation mainly as tourists in turkey and thailand. as i havent been to these countries or had too much experience with them i humbly ask you better traveled fellows - are russians really that horrible? are they to be avoided?

I’m going against the common opinion here, but Russians have always been good to me.

I think it’s because I’m respectful myself and I look strong, so nobody bothers me.

That said, Russians are sketchy for sure - I would not mess with them nor do any illegal activities with them

you see them in North Cyprus with multiple flats worth €300k each and a €300k car

you can bet they didn’t get that money cleanly - It’s just not possible.

Another anecdotal experience:

I was at a club in North Cyprus with a Turkish guy and a Russian guy.

The Russian got into an argument with another Turkish guy. The Turkish guy was the aggressor, and it turned out they had some history (they’d been fucking the same girl).

Rusky put some money up to have other guy's limbs broken which happened the same week

i know this forum loves crass black/white opinions because it's dominated by autists, but as in every country, it depends on the social classes.

the russian low class is mostly terrible and disgusting, that's where their ruined image comes from. guys like to act tough, easily get into fights without prior warning and of course alcoholics. women are cold-hearted golddiggers: constantly bored, craving for expensive objects and getting their lips rubber boat bloated.

middle class is quite intelligent compared to global standards. lots of boyish looking men who get into IT. educated women tend to drop the golddigger mentality and lose interest in russian men because they often beat their women. you won't have any issues with these people if you're a somewhat reasonable person yourself.

cuz those are the poors, like marco said its the low class.

another example is the israel tourists, those guys are the poors that go to these tourist hotspots. The ones who stay in the better communities and dont travel to poor places, e.g in jerusalem , other western places boca raton, hollywood, fll etc are much better people and good vibes

I've never had any problems with them in Thailand. I far prefer them to other groups of tourists. They tend to just mind their business.

I've had bad experiences with people from Southern and West Europeans. EE and Russians are chill imo.

They can come across as quite brash and I've seen Russian women being rude to local staff in Thailand.

Indians and Israeli are detested the most in Thailand and have the worst reps.

haven't met them in Thailand but I would say yes, they are on average a lot worse than other tourist groups

from the ones I interacted with
usually more on the rude and drunk side, close minded, aggresive, women are cold and gold diggerish
lots of young russians travelling that were involved in online fraud, hacking and other shady stuff
they tend to get into fights

the war doesn't help their reputation

but there's a small group of russians that don't want to be associated with all that that are very cool
smart, educated, nice, they got their own legit businesses...

racism aside I don't think they cause any trouble? at least not anywhere close to rusians, israelis, french arabs or young british in the south of Thailand
