you can't move, you need visa to live there all year and its hard to get

and those 8k$ need lots of renovation or are in the middle of nowhere

I saw one American on /trv/ asking about where he can find a cheap place to stay in Florida, something like $1400 a month for a one bedroom. I'm like WTF? That's what Americans consider cheap these days?

In Asia you have two factors: 1) non-Jewish landlords, and 2) respectable tenants who never trash the place. This allows prices to be kept surprisingly low even for furnished apartments. Chinese invest their life savings into real estate, versus Western landlords scoring a loan from their fellow Jews to buy a property, and then making the tenant pay for the mortgage on top of the rent.

you can live there 6 month per year on tourist visa which is pretty good

even the outskirts of tokyo and osaka are very affordable, more and more common for foreigners to get 2nd house there
