I shouldn't go to jail because I started a small fire that resulted in nothing being damaged. I did it to stay warm. I was feeling cold.

I shouldn't go to jail because I already did like 6 months in jail. That should be enough time. I've done my time enough. Anything more is cruel and unusual punishment.

I shouldn't be found guilty because if I'm convicted, I will struggle to get a job because of background checks. I've already struggled to get a job as it is. I will suffer when I get on the outside. I want to get a job.

I shouldn't be found guilty because Ive turned my life around. I'll never start a fire again. I won't even carry a lighter again. I'm even staying at a homeless shelter.

I'm sorry I committed this crime. Jury nullification is when the jury knows you committed the crime, but they think the law is unjust and say you are not guilty. I want to be nullified. Please I'm begging you to not lock me up. Jail is hell. I've even been a victim of violence in jail. I also feel hungry in jail. I promise I won't do this ever again.
