what’s the english teacher in china pay like

University (~16/hrs a week in the majority of cases) = 8k-15k CNY (1k-2k USD) and free housing most of the time.
Pretty chill. I got 11k (or 1.5k/mo USD) at one at my first job. Anything lower pay is probably cope.

For a more full time role like a public school, try for around 20k/2.8k USD your first year. But you can make up to around 40k/month (5.6k USD) if you’re degreemaxxed, experiencemaxxed, etc. and work a 8-5 at an international school/private school.

Just go on plebbit on /r/TEFL for the other specifics. There are a lot of trash job listings out there that in reality will never be filled to anyone but desperate ethnics etc., so if you know what you’re worth just spam interviews and whatnot
