Troughout the year, we find that cosmic events littereraly cause the stars to align and with this aligning, a supreme opportunity for Magick presents itself. One of these notable times is a Solar Eclipse, when the Spheres of 1° the Moon & 4° the Sun align with our planet.
During this time, the energies of the Moon & the Sun will be extremely pronounced on our planet; the ethos of 1° the Moon energies being Terror & Sinister Knowledge, and 4° the Sun being Revelation, Understanding, & Prophecy. Invoking any of the Dark Gods of either Sphere will yield potent results, but one Dark God in particular will be notably more exalted: our Dark Prince, Satanas.
The Septenary Tree of Wyrd has a Dark Pathway that connects each Sphere to every other Sphere, and each one of those Pathways has an energy represented by a specitic Dark God; as you will see in the comprehensive list attached to this post, the Dark Pathway that connects the Sphere of 1° the Moon and 4° the Sun is Pathway No. 4, represented by Sinister Tarot Atu VII: Azoth, and ruled by the Dark God Satanas.
Since it is both the Moon & the Sun that are aligned this Solar Eclipse, invoking the Dark God that draws on the energies of both will yield the most potent results. How you wish to channel this energy is up to you; however, for the Initiate, it is suggested that they undertake a Hermetic Rite of Internal Magick, where one draws down the energies of Satanas and suffuses it with their own essence & consciousness. This essence can be described as follows:
"The Menstruum - the Sinister aspect implicit within the ‘homogenous metallic water’: the explosive factor in the delicate balancing of life enhancing elements. Change by adversity – the ‘Accuser’. The brutal realities that threaten to devour the abstract, the romantic. Insight and control via the understanding of the Primal - or destruction by it."
A ruthless spirit of withering inquiry and analysis, that which endeavours to destroy the fantastical, the phantasmagorical, the unreal. A disruptive factor, and one which boldly challenges an established status quo. Evolution via adversity, and strength via dispelling of illusions.
Once drawn down with a Hermetic Rite, these primal, threatening energies of evolution can be directed into one's own psyche for one's own Satanic evolution; or they can be allowed to disperse naturally and alter what they will on the Earth; or they can be directed towards a specific desire/target, to affect it in the way such energies would.
How these energies are used is ultimately up to the individual Sorcerer, but however they're used, it should be noted that this opportunity presents a unique learning experience for the Sinister Initiate that does not come very often, and it is recommended it be taken advantage of. Moreover, from the Sinister Dialectic frame of reference, the more Sorcerers engage in this Rite, the more Satanic Acausal Energy will be presenced on this planet; which will surely have an effect on society at large and perhaps alter in some way the progression of events to come.
