So which one did you choose? Do you know for certain that if you were to die today that you would go to heaven? The Bible says that you can be absolutely sure that you have eternal life.
Many believe it's by being a 'good person' or following the commandments or being baptized. However, none of these things give you eternal life.

The Bible says in Romans 3:10 -
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
And in Romans 3:23 -
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
In Revelation 21:8 it says,
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Everyone has lied before, and we have also all done much worse.
According to the Bible we are all deserving of hell.
However, the Bible also says in Romans 5:8 -
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Timothy 3:16 tells us that Jesus is God in the flesh;
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life and when he was crucified he bare the sins of everyone in the entire world.
1 Peter 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 John 2:2 - And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus went down to hell for 3 days and 3 nights after having been crucified.
Acts 2:31 - He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
After that he rose from the dead.
So now that you know you are a sinner, and that Jesus Christ died,was buried and rose again for you, how do you obtain salvation and eternal life?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation.
Acts 16:30-31
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
He didn't say repent, get baptized, live a good life,or avoid sin. He said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Even the most famous verse of the Bible clearly states how to obtain eternal life.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus said -
John 10:28 - And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 6:47 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Once you believe on Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone for your salvation you obtain eternal life and you can never lose it. It's eternal and no man can pluck you from the hand of the Lord Jesus. You could even commit a heinous sin, God will punish you but you can never go to hell once you are saved.
John 11:26 - And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
You cannot trust in your own good works or outside of anything that Jesus Christ did for you for your salvation.
Matthew 7:13-14 - Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
So now you know how to obtain the free gift of salvation, bought and paid for by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now it's up to you, do you accept Jesus' free gift?
If so go ahead and say this prayer, and believe with all your heart that Jesus died for your sins and through believing on him alone, you will obtain eternal life;
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know I deserve to go to hell. But I believe you died on the cross for me and rose again. Please save me right now and give me eternal life. I'm only trusting in you Jesus. Amen.
Congratulations, you are now saved from going to hell. You are now a child of God forever.
