Lots of race-baiting from trolls as well to get the insecure white guys up in arms. Probably a few bitter and emasculated Asian men living in the West as well, that like to troll and cope with the whole "white guys get ugly leftover Asian chicks" stereotype as well.

I think he's just speaking from the perspective of an average guy. Passport bros are retarded in other ways but the more i travel in east asia the more i think the JBW effect is not as strong as we thought and it's declining fast.
I don't want to pull a Quant but i've seen a lot more girls (especially teens/early 20's) simping for kpop guys compared to white guys, doesn't help that hollywood is basically trash right now, we are losing the culture and soft propaganda war heavily to Korea in East Asia.
Ofc if you are in the top 5/10% of white males (tall,young,good face/coloring) you will mog hard and see reactions similar to the ones you see in the viral tiktoks, it's a primal instict and no amount of korean propaganda it's going to change that but if you are below htn/chad level cultural status matters a lot in getting laid with better looking girls than you.
At the same time even if you are not great looking it's hard to be an incel in east asia as a white male if you have at least some idea about what you are doing but the quality you get it's not great at all imho (maybe different for yellow fever boyos). HTB/HTB+ girls require extreme effort on your part (just spend 10k hours learning mandarin brah) or being part of the aforementioned top 5/10%. I guess it's fair since you are basically targeting the top 1/5% of asian girls.

kpop halo is overrated. it's common for late teens/early 20s to like them for the same reason they've historically liked boy bands. they're attracted to androgynous men but eventually they age out of that attraction

This might be true but can’t say for sure. In Bangkok I’ve met a few girls maybe 24-26 y/o who liked k-pop in the past but like western music (like Taylor Swift lol) now.

I would argue that for HTB+ Asian girls the competition is not as weak as you think, unless you are talking about some random tier 2/3 Chinese city or some slums in Manila. Also, teens and early 20's girls are the most attractive women age brackets by far so it's not exactly positive if they are the one most affected by the kpop halo
