talking to a half thai half dutch girl rn

shes 4ft10

muh height is genetic

heifht is 100% environmental.

if you think otherwise, you are either uneducated on this topic

or coping because height is the only way you can feel any sense of self worth

It's mostly based on how much nutrition you get as a kid probably. I know a guy who's parents are both 5'3" and he's about 6'1". Both of my parents are 5'4" and I'm 5'7". It really varies but I don't believe that it's genetic.

Keep coping. Ur child is gonna be a manlet because of your sins

I can't tell with you guys sometimes, are you trolling or are you mentally ill? Height's basis in genetics has been well established for centuries and is undeniably true any way you slice it

There isn't a height DNA. If you have tall parents you're more likely to be tall because of their lifestyle influence on you. And vise versa. That's why we see exceptions to the rule. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible. Correlation in this case doesn't equal causation.

"This question can be rephrased as: "How much variation (difference between individuals) in height is attributable to genetic effects and how much to nutritional effects?" The short answer to this question is that about 60 to 80 percent of the difference in height between individuals is determined by genetic factors, whereas 20 to 40 percent can be attributed to environmental effects, mainly nutrition. This answer is based on estimates of the "heritability" of human height: the proportion of the total variation in height due to genetic factors."
6 feet = 72 inches. 40% of 72 = 28.8. Meaning that environment can make the difference between 6 feet tall and 3'6" tall. This kind of disproves the notion that it's genetic because it's kind of a given as a human being that isn't deformed that your base genetic potential will be 3'6". Which is just true for being a human organism. The part that actually counts towards anything in this case would be environmental. Even if we take the lower end and say it's only 20% environment, using 6ft as a total height, that would be a 14.4 inch difference. More than a foot. The difference between being technically a midget (below 4'10") and being 6ft tall.

Fair enough. I don't have the time or motivation to do any in-depth research on this. All I know is that I've seen super tall parents with super tall kids. Tiny parents with short kids. I'm certain that at least part of it is genetic.

I actually hope you're correct because I love short girls but want my male children to be tall.

i think both, many are trolling 24/7, others have some mentail issues

it gets tiring to use this forum when half the comments are bs

If it were my forum I would create separate boards for "practical discussion/advice" and "random thoughts". I have found some really valuable content on this forum but it gets drowned out by schizoposting and other low-effort nonsense which sucks.

there's an off-topic section.
I don't think it's possible to have any blackpill-adjacent forum without massive autism, tbh

Make sure they get lots of Vitamin D and Vitamin K2. This can be obtained easily from direct sun exposure, saturated animal fat is needed in the diet though to adequately produce it. Vitamin K2 can be found in fermented foods, especially stuff liked aged cheeses. It's a bit harder to get than Vitamin D but it's very important for proper bone development. Calcium is a given but you can easily get that from even small amounts of milk. Most people get too much calcium and it can actually be harmful. Calcium can really only be mobilized into the bones with Vitamin D3 (saturated animal fat + sun exposure) and Vitamin K2 (Fermented/aged foods, high quality cheeses. Eggs have K2 as well, also beef liver has a lot and is probably the best. Not everyone can tolerate eggs and dairy.

Good info thanks.

I always suspected southern Chinese were shorter than northern Chinese because their diet consists of a lot more rice, which is mostly simple carbohydrate. Whereas people in the north eat more whole grains, which are richer in vitamins, protein, etc.

I already went through every study and literally none of them can prove height is genetic.

It's obvious it's environmental tho.

Indians and africans are 5ft4 avg in their home country

But 5ft10 avg if born in the west

It's a news article, not a scientific study. Height is 100% environmental. Everyone could reach 6ft4 if they had the right environment

That's why in the west there is 6ft4 whites, blacks, south asians, east asians. Its not just limited to some people genetically

seems like a lot of cope my parents were tall and so am i. I ate like dogshit and still turned out 6'3 (6'2 now bc posturecel) meanwhile other people who also ate like shit were like 5'6. I have strange proportions, so did my father. Were the short limbs genetic, but not the height? what about the fat short people? they're certainly not lacking nutrition. And it's certainly genetic by gender since women are almost never as tall as i am. even trans hormone replacement in their teens doesn't make them tall.

You're coping because height is all you have so it gives u self worth if u say its genetic. But in reality its environmental. But I know that gonna hurt. Also calories does not equal nutrition and overall environment quality.

And yea obviously men and women's difference is genetic. But not men and men's difference
