which one is good? i want to live as long as possible from my parent's money while establishing a way to make money online (and slaying at the same time)?

Idk have you been to Vietnam? But cost is one of many reasons why China is the best kept secret. Literally cheaper than SEA and better in most ways. Your preference tho especially if you can't get the 10 year visa or anything. 1500 would take you far in either but you might fumble if you accidentally expat maxx too hard in Hanoi/HCMC and go to cocktail bars or take Grab cars several times daily

Are sub-Tier 1 Chinese cities really cheaper with a lower COL than the average large city in SEA, even Vietnam?
Because I find that hard to believe, and some other data that can be found online would suggest otherwise, like with Numbeo…

No cap. Decent hotel near the center of Chengdu was like $10/night. HCMC you're looking more like $25 (idk Hanoi kinda has less of a "center" since it's a big ass lake)
There's a ton of fancy restaurants in China so you can end up spending more, but going to the market or eating at more local places and it's basically just as cheap as SEA.
Is Livingcost accurate? This is what I use whenever I check the COL of cities tbh

Ig it'd probably be easier to do visa runs in SEA. But if you can get the 10 year visa run no need; just go to HK and come back
VPN and internet stuff is pretty much a meme in my experience lol

yes

my apartment here in china is $500 while being 3 bedroom 2 bathroom and 130 square meters in the city center

that’s impossible for any place in southeast asia

Any of those could work for you but completely different lifestyles.

Slaying Manila will be the easiest
For adventura and experiences China
Vietnam will overall be the easiest life and cheapest

Where do you find decent hotels that cheap in China? Because checking trip.com normal hotels in tier 2 start at like 30 euros/night, 40/50 euros if we are talking tier 1 cities

use the map feature on trip to look for hotels. generally the good deals don’t show up on the list version

What do you mean that it’s a meme?
Doesn’t the great firewall block everything western?
Also, which VPN would you recommend?
LetsVPN?
And those 10 year tourist visas for China seem to only be available to citizens from Anglo countries lol

Even the cheapest SEA cities like Hanoi?
What would the prices be for that same kind of apartment in large SEA cities and also in the mainland Chinese Tier 1’s?
Also, which city is your apartment in?
