just booked a flight to korea

good stuff, whats your plan and how long are you going for?

Better hope she doesn't dump you, because the budget lodging in Seoul looks really spartan. Between the cold winter climate and the bugbox lodging, I'll pass on South Korea. General rule of thumb for East Asia travelers is you should expect to spend at least as much as the median salary earner if you want to live a decent life and not be treated like a contemptible brokefag in the world's most materialistic region. That's $2600/month in South Korea, or $87/day. Six months of that and I'd have to go back to work for a whole seven-month season instead of merely two or three months...fuck that.

you can get rooms for $200 a month with private bathroom

plus a public kitchen where there’s usually free rice and kimchi
