Its never been easier to make money

A lot of variables are involved in something like this. How do you know it will keep bringing in enough money and will be scalable enough to make more? Online businesses aren't always stable and continuous "passive" income isnt guaranteed especially at first, so there's a reason guys teach english since it's more stable but obviously if you are serious about that upskilling is necessary to get payed more.

That being said I think it can be worth it if you dont mind taking risks and have a solid idea and skills to back it up. Still think it's better to also have a regular job as a backup or another source of income.

Only if you build it. Up. The business can be anything that builds a brand.

Eg let's say you have a hobby in MTG cards. building some sort of affiliate codes and long term brand reach / Instagram TikTok IG YouTube will make you that money

Making money passive tho is a lot harder than active. Active can be five digits or up but passive can be just dropping below 1000. Depending what you do of course. Real work takes a long time

1. I already had past success with it. Really good with it. So I believe I can do it again

Teaching English is really stable but you will be always capped at teaching at maximum 1500 usd per month unless you find vip clients and can't outsource it. The biggest issue is most people cannot afford to run a online business due to skills or issues they have
 
To add to this, in modern society basically your only advantage left as a man is your ability to take risks. This is something women will never have (99.999 percent of them). Playing it safe used to benefit the common man but now it only benefits women and governments

Women now take risk by eg. Building business or opening onlyfans. The world has changed

Yeah which is why I reccomend getting qualifications which will initially bump you up to 2-3x that income in places like China and elsewhere once you get enough experience. Plus the Summers and holidays give you more time for managing a business vs other careers once you have lesson plans and materials that you can easily reuse and get comfortable with the career after a few years.

does anyone have experience or anecdotes about teaching jobs in china as a non native? i heard they only take people with passports from an anglophone country

Yeah they prefer degrees from there but you may be able to bypass that if you have a teaching license from an anglo country and degree for an in demand subject. Definitely check the visa laws though as I think they also usually want you to have 2 years of experience, a tefl or a masters degree but the 2 yoe can be in anything from what I remember. Check the teaching in China thread by @Orientalist as there's a bunch of posts about this and visas.

What interests you? Then I would try to build a brand around it. Thats what works for me

I was never focused on money but all it takes is one big hit to get from 0 digits to 5 digits per month

Going to college and getting a useful degree or learning a trade and working will almost always give a better roi than falling for the automated online business bs

Who said anything about automated business? Almost no business is automated... And yes I know some people here made over 10k a month if not more.
 
Let's be real here, yes you can make more money with a business, but at what other costs? Teaching is pretty cool. If you play your cards right you will be in a school with 90% female staff who are very cute. Very low workload. Fun teaching time. Students admire you. Guaranteed income. Great social network. They'll help you with housing and logistics. Etc. It's a lifestyle with an income attached.

True its just salary thats capped but reality is you are usually in thailand with other male teachers
