43, be 44 soon. and really didn't think about asia, until i met my indonesian gf in texas on a conference. i was 23. to be honest i would love to retire in indonesia but i don't meet the criteria. 1. have to make 1800 a month. 2 have to hire an indonesia maid or chaufure. 3. need to be 55

number 3 is my problem.

so i am going to indonesia. Rent a place for a year. After 6 months try different asian countries. until i find something better than indonesia. Or i turn 55 and then can move back to indonesia full time

but 2 or 3 bed apartments in indonesia are cheap 3500 USD for a year. and that's considered expensive because that's with a pool and a gym. If you just want an apartment, it's much cheaper than that

so while i travel to other asian countries, i keep my indo apartment.
