Initially I planned to study on a scholarship in China (as I discussed in a previous post), but I got a SWE job offer I couldn't ignore, so instead I just spend ~6 months overseas per year via a combination of a lengthy PTO allowance and remote work policies. I'd obviously prefer to be in Asia on a western salary 100% of the time, but this is a lot better than nothing.

so when you really need something you can afford the best. But when you dont' need it, you don't buy it
