So, I'm researching non stop a good place to live. My two criteria are: low taxes and access to beautiful women...I don't give a shit about anything else, because why would I? Those are the only two things that matter. You can just live there for 6 months to have the fiscal residency and you can be wherever else you want for the other 6 months.

Now, on one hand you can go living in Dubai and pay zero taxes although it's not exactly zero because you'd have to either set up a company in a free zone, or register as a freelancer (at a yearly cost) or you pay for a golden visa by investing hundreds of thousands of euro in Dubai real estate market. Dubai is good for lowering your tax burden but it sucks for dating, especially if you want to date white girls.

The entire Western Europe sucks for taxes. Let's say you're a professional trader (meaning that that's your only job and you don't have any other source of income). If you are classified as a professional trader, what matter isn't the capital gain taxes in Europe, but the income taxes which are much much higher. Moreover you'd have to pay social contribution taxes on top of it and municipal taxes. It can pile up to over 70% LOL.
So, the classic way to avoid it is to open a one person company....but even then it gets complicated because you must pay social contribution on your salary and the corporate taxes aren't exactly low (generally in line with the capital gain taxes). There is also taxation on the dividends (here dividends isn't intended on the dividend a company you invested in pay you....it's intended as the salary YOUR company pay you...basically what you grant yourself as salary and have to pay social contribution expenses on it).

So, enter Belarus.

Belarus has special tax regimes in specific economic zones, such as the Free Economic Zones (SEZ), including Minsk SEZ, which provide significant benefits for reducing corporate taxation.

Companies registered in a SEZ in Belarus (e.g., Minsk SEZ) can enjoy the following advantages:

  1. Full exemption from Corporate Tax (18%) for the first 5 years.
  2. Reduced Corporate Tax rate of 9% after the first 5 years.
  3. Other benefits that don't apply to me

Example Tax Calculation: $800,000 Capital Gains per year

1. Full Exemption from Corporate Tax (First 5 Years)

  • Since Corporate Tax is 0% for the first 5 years, I would not pay any tax on the $800,000 profit.
  • The entire $800,000 remains in the company.

2. Dividends (10%)

  • If I distribute $80,000 as dividends (ie my salary), I would pay:
    • $80,000 x 10% = $8,000.
Total Taxes (Corporate + Dividends):

  • $0 (Corporate Tax) + $8,000 (Dividends) = $8,000.

That means for the first 5 years the effective tax rate on 800,000$ of profits is just 1%! Not even Dubai has a fiscal regime this good because you'd have to pay thousands of dollars to register a company or apply for a freelance visa. Moreover Dubai is much more expensive so effectively you'd pay more in Dubai.

After the First 5 Years: Reduced Corporate Tax of 9%

If the company operates for more than 5 years in the SEZ, I would pay a reduced Corporate Tax of 9% on net profits.

  • Corporate Tax (9%):
    • $800,000 x 9% = $72,000.
  • Dividends (10%):
    • $80,000 x 10% = $8,000.
Total Taxes (Corporate + Dividends):

  • $72,000 (Corporate Tax) + $8,000 (Dividends) = $80,000

The effective tax rate from the 6th year is just 10%. If it's 1 million it would be even less. Nowhere else in Europe you'd pay such low taxes.

This would allow me to get both the things I want: low taxes and access to beautiful women

It doesn't even end here because it's not hard to move to Belarus as a European. You can just apply for a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) which is valid for 1 year, renewable annually as many times as you want. In Russia, on the other end, you'd have to apply for a golden visa which costs around 800,000$ (so it has an upfront capital cost, contrary to Belarus) if you invest in real estate in Moscow

Good thread

There are other risks why you may want to avoid Belarus. Why not a safer country like Bulgaria?

In the shitty EU countries you can just evade tax anyway. No one cares… Just setup a company in somewhere 0 tax…

Wouldn't play that game with antagonistic countries that are looking for every reason to imprison you, blackmail you and extort you.
Stay safe. Belarus is on the grey list right now and possibly black list soon.
Just stick to Romania, Bulgaria.
