I respectfully disagree. And this is coming from a guy who has gone well over a year multiple times without any haircut at all.
My hair got so long it went past my shoulders and it was just such a pain to deal with and got annoying.
I think that it's way more freeing to just have a short style but it should only be for men.
As a Christian I follow the Bible and the explanation for this in the Bible is that man is made in the image of God and should have short hair to
show his head and women should have long hair as it's a natural covering and keeps them modest in appearance. (1 Corinthians chapter 11).
I will admit, barbershops are BS though. I've only been to a barbershop a handful of times in my life. My grandfather was a barber for over 50 years so he cut my hair a lot but these days I just cut it myself. It's so ridiculous to me because I messed up a bit the first few times I cut my own hair when I was about 14 but now it comes so easily to me and looks fine. Why pay for something that you can easily do yourself for free?
February 23rd 2023 I went to a barbershop and got my hair cut, I went from then all the way to April 11th 2024 without getting a haircut.
In April I just cut a lot of it off myself.
I remember that day in February vividly because it was an insanely warm day here for February.

This site says it was 79f (26.111c) in Baltimore. I don't live in Baltimore but that's the closest major city to me and I remember no one was wearing a jacket that day and even the front door of the barber shop was left propped open.
It's honestly kind of weird and creepy that you made this post on the exact day I cut my hair after not cutting it for over a year, not accusing you of anything. Probably just a synchronicity of the matrix we're living in.
I should add long hair is especially annoying for me because my hair grows super fast, a lot faster than anyone else I know. Also my hair gets very greasy very fast. I can wash my hair with shampoo in the morning and it will already be greasy looking again by that same evening.
I know this is kind of autism writing a wall of text on such a random post but I always wanted long hair when I was younger but after I got it it was kind of just 'meh' to me. I'm not a fan of the buzzcut or shaved look so I just cut it so it doesn't touch my eyes or go over my ears too much.
My hair is probably still on the longer side for a guy but it's definitely not female tier length like it was before.
Anyways, not telling you what to do. That's just my opinions. They probably shave every guys head the same in the military to avoid any individuality.
Also I must add that February 23rd 2023 was the hottest ever recorded February 23rd in Baltimore history!
