You didn't make a mistake, if you getting a CS degree you can get just about any tech, don't feel dumb about barely passing many people barley make it. Also with your degree you can always look for other tech jobs that don't involve coding, believe it or not some tech jobs can be semi-social, like sales engineer or PM. I agree with you though office environment isn't always the best, with my job I could literally be working remotely anywhere but I'm cucked by company. With your plan you should just try to find some contract jobs where its like six months or something, maybe even do bartending on the side or something.
